‘The Night’ to screen at Cinequest Film Festival

Iranian movie ‘The Night’ is slated to screen at the Cinequest Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Kourosh Ahari, the movie will be displayed at the Spotlight Films section of the festival.

‘The Night’, co-written by Kourosh Ahari and Milad Jarmouz, narrates the story of a couple who learns secrets about one another during their one night residence at a hotel. During this endless night some insidious forces come between this husband and wife.

Shahab Hosseini, the star of the movie, is an internationally celebrated actor who has already won various awards such as the Best Actor from the Cannes Film Festival in France and Silver Bear for Best Actor from the Berlin International Film Festival.

Niousha Jafarian, Amir-Ali Hosseini, Armin Mehr, Golbarg Khavari, Ali Kousheshi and Leila Gorganian are the rest of the flick’s cast members.

The Cinequest Film Festival is an annual independent film festival held in San Jose, California. Cinequest awards the annual Maverick Spirit Awards. The festival has over 130 World or US premieres from over 30 countries.

The 2020 edition of the event is slated for March 4-15, 2020.
